Q: Can I get a persistant database for Grails that can also be edited with a visual editor?
A: Yes, you can install for example MySQL on the development virtual machine and use it with Grails. For installation, type sudo apt-get install mysql-server on the command line. Then see the Grails guide around page twenty for instructions for using in Grails.
