Introduction

In 2000, UN stimated in 529.000 the number of deceased women due to pregnacy complications, aproximately one per minute. More than 99% of those deaths occured in underdevelopped countries. Appropiate information and qualyfied health assistance could greatly reduce this figure.

Description of the project

Our main objective is to design a social network for pregnant women which provides:

  • Direct contact with trained health personnel by webcam.
  • Chat and messaging system.
  • Advices about pregnancy.
  • Calendar showing relevant information about gestation, vaccination, etc…
  • Maps showing information about near hospitals and doctors.
