IDEA

  • Spidermans treasure got stolen by Juggernaut and you must help him to gather his hard earned hero-money back.
  • But remember, with great power comes great responsibility
  • The game is a basic collect 'n dodge -game that requires fast reaction times and a hunger for treasure.
  • Simple, awesome and definitely challenging.

MOTIVATION

  • This game format offers the highest fun to lines-of-code ratio! (over 200 lines of JS equals 400x fun)
  • The canvas element was something we really wanted to learn and it seemed suitable for the scope of this project.

FEATURES

  • Canvas (BG, Hero, Treasure, Baddie)
  • Hero movement with arrow-keys.
  • Random treasure spawn.
  • Random baddie spawn and movement.
  • Scoreboard.
  • Automatic reset upon baddie clash; the action doesn't stop!
  • Name input box + button for the scoreboard and totally legitimate competition.
  • State-of-the-art visuals.
  • Coming soon: sound, movement animations, spidey power-ups, varying baddies, baddies bouncing off of each other, scrolling sides, bonus treasure, multiplayer, character selection, menu+death screen..
